Crude Oil Prices and US-Iran Conflict to Drive Market Volatility
Market analysts expect geopolitical developments and crude oil prices to significantly impact stock market movements in the coming week. The US-Iran conflict has already led to increased volatility, with Brent crude prices remaining above $90 per barrel.
Ajit Mishra of Religare Broking Ltd said that investors will closely monitor comments from the US Federal Reserve Chairman at the Jackson Hole symposium for clues on future interest rates. Other key indicators include US GDP estimates, durable goods orders, and consumer confidence.
On the domestic front, analysts are keeping a close eye on the rupee's movement, foreign institutional flows, and domestic liquidity conditions. Foreign portfolio investors have already infused ₹23,544 crore into Indian equities this month.
