Crude oil prices have continued their upward trend, pushing the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline to $4.10, its highest point on record by this date.

The latest data from AAA shows that the national average has increased by 3 cents since last week, and is now higher than it was in August 2022.

In New Jersey, gas prices have been relatively stable, with a slight decrease of one cent per gallon since last Thursday. However, the state's prices are still higher than they were at this time last year, having risen by 93 cents over the past 12 months.

The cheapest gas in the state can be found in Warren County, where it costs an average of $3.88 per gallon, while Cape May County has the highest prices, averaging $4.15 per gallon.
