Crude Oil Prices Rise Amid Global Optimism

Crude oil futures saw a marginal rise on MCX, driven by positive global trends. The price of crude oil rose by Rs 69 to Rs 8,132 per barrel in the futures trade on Tuesday.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading at USD 84.14 per barrel, up 0.48 per cent. Brent crude was also up, increasing by 0.31 per cent at USD 91.16 per barrel in New York.

Analysts attributed the rise in bets by participants as a reason for the higher crude oil prices in futures trade.
