Crude Oil Prices Surge Back Over $100, Gas Prices Follow Suit in KY
Gas prices in West Central Kentucky have risen by 14 cents this week to $3.895 per gallon, according to AAA East Central's Gas Price Report.
The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by 16 cents over the past week to $4.31, with crude oil prices rising back into the $100 per barrel range for the first time since July.
Volatility in the Strait of Hormuz is contributing to the increase in crude oil prices, as seen in new data from the Energy Information Administration.
