Crude Oil Refinery Inputs Rise as Gasoline Production Falls

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) released its Weekly Petroleum Status Report on August 12, 2026, covering data for the week ending August 7, 2026.

Crude oil refinery inputs averaged 17.2 million barrels per day, up 26,000 barrels per day from the previous week, with refineries operating at 96.2% of operable capacity.

Gasoline production decreased to 9.6 million barrels per day, while distillate fuel production rose to 5.3 million barrels per day.
