Cyprus Gas Reserve Targeted for EU Supply by Early 2028
Cyprus is emerging as an alternative energy source for European nations as they seek to diversify their fuel supplies, according to its Energy Minister.
Michael Damianos said that natural gas from a newly discovered undersea deposit off Cyprus will be available to European consumers by March 2028.
The East Mediterranean is rapidly becoming an important source of energy for the continent as it looks for new sources following Russia's war in Ukraine and upheaval in the Middle East.
