Daewoo E&C Wins Preferred Bidder Status for Papua LNG Project
Daewoo Engineering and Construction (E&C) Co. has been selected as a preferred bidder for the Papua LNG project in Papua New Guinea.
The South Korean construction company will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the central processing facility and well pads in the project.
Daewoo E&C secured the preferred bidder status from TotalEnergies, the lead operator of the project, after being awarded the front-end engineering design work in 2022.
The Papua LNG project aims to extract natural gas from the Elk-Antelope gas fields and produce around 6 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually.
