Daewoo E&C Wins Preferred Bidder Status for Papua New Guinea LNG Project
Daewoo Engineering & Construction (Daewoo E&C) has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Papua CPF and Wellpads EPSCC project from TotalEnergies, a key player in the Papua New Guinea LNG Project. This achievement comes four years after Daewoo E&C was selected as the successful bidder for FEED Phase 1 and Phase 2 (Basic Design) in July 2022.
The Papua LNG project is one of the largest resource development projects in Papua New Guinea, extracting natural gas from the Elk-Antelope gas field and producing around 6 million tons of LNG annually. Daewoo E&C will be responsible for designing, procuring, constructing, and commissioning (EPSCC) the central gas processing facility (CPF) and auxiliary facilities.
Daewoo E&C has a proven track record in executing large overseas CPF projects, such as Gbaran, Otumara, and CAFC in Algeria. The company's selection as preferred bidder demonstrates its capabilities in the LNG value chain, from gas field refining to liquefied plants and acquisition bases.
