Dalal Street to Ride Global Geopolitics and Inflation Data
India's Dalal Street is set to take cues from global geopolitical developments and domestic economic indicators in the upcoming trading sessions.
The market will closely watch crude oil prices, Strait of Hormuz developments, and inflation data, including India's July CPI inflation print on August 12 and WPI inflation on August 14. The Reserve Bank of India's foreign exchange reserves data will also be monitored for fresh insights into inflation trends and external sector stability.
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have continued their buying activity in Indian equities, investing Rs 12,921 crore in the first week of August.
The Q1 FY27 earnings season will gather further momentum this week, with several companies scheduled to announce their quarterly results, including HAL, Bharat Forge, Grasim Industries, and Tata Motors.
