Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum Supply Baghdad with Natural Gas Boost
Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum have started supplying natural gas to Baghdad's electricity ministry under an agreement to boost the country's power output.
The gas is coming from the Khor Mor field in Iraqi Kurdistan, which has been upgraded to increase its production capacity to 750 million cubic feet per day.
Under the one-year deal, the companies will supply 100 million cubic feet of natural gas per day to the Taza gas-fired power plant in Kirkuk province.
Crescent Petroleum's CEO Majid Jafar said that this milestone marks an important step in Iraqi Kurdistan's gas sector growth, addressing the growing demand for electricity and enhancing services for residents.
