Dangote Raises Petrol Price to N1,350 as Global Oil Prices Soar
Nigeria's Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the price of petrol for the fourth time in six weeks, bringing it to N1,350 per litre. The new price took effect on September 12, 2026.
The latest increase marks a rise of N85 per litre from the previous price of N1,265. This represents a 15.9% increase over the past 22 days, since August 21.
The refinery had previously raised its petrol price to N1,265 on August 29, up from N1,200 on August 26 and N1,185 on August 21. The increases follow rising global crude oil prices, with Brent crude recently reaching $104 per barrel.
