Dar Blend Crude Oil Availability Boosts Marine Fuel Blending
Sudan's Dar Blend crude oil has seen an increase in availability for marine fuel blending due to easing demand from China's refining sector, according to market sources and shipping data.
Approximately 1.7 million barrels of Dar Blend arrived in Singapore and Malaysia in August, marking a third consecutive month of increased imports.
China received no volume of Dar Blend in August after importing it every month between March and July, with the demand for heavy-sweet crudes like Dar easing due to incremental crude availability and choice.
Dar Blend is a highly coveted oil product due to its limited availability and ability to be used to produce low-sulphur fuel oil that meets emission specifications.
