DDG Prices Climb Amid Mixed Trend

The average price of domestic distillers dried grains (DDG) for the week ending August 20 was $163 per short ton, up $4 from the previous week. This increase is part of a mixed trend in DDG prices, which varied across different locations.

According to DTN's weekly spot price data, the cash corn price also increased versus one week ago, while soybean meal prices rose by $9.80 per short ton (basis DEC) compared to the previous week.

The value of DDG relative to corn was 0.906% for the week ending August 20, and its value relative to soybean meal was 50.34%. The cost per unit of protein for DDG was $6.04 compared to $6.82 for soybean meal.
