Delhi CNG Price Hikes by ₹3.89/kg Amid Global LNG Cost Surge
The price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi and surrounding areas has increased by ₹3.89 per kg, effective from August 29.
This hike was necessitated by a sharp rise in global liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices due to supply concerns and geopolitical tensions linked to the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
The revised rate now stands at ₹86.98 per kg, compared to the previous price of ₹83.09 per kg.
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) cited elevated global LNG prices as the reason for the increase, stating that a significant portion of its gas is sourced from imported LNG.
