Delhi CNG Prices Hike: IGL Increases Rates by Rs 3.89/kg Amid Global Gas Price Surge
New Delhi-based Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs 3.89 per kg throughout Delhi-NCR, effective Saturday.
The hike brings the CNG price to Rs 86.98 per kg in Delhi and Rs 95.59 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad. In Meerut, the price is now Rs 95.47 per kg, while in Gurugram it stands at Rs 92.01 per kg.
This marks the fifth CNG price hike by IGL this year, with the last increase occurring in May when prices rose by a cumulative Rs 6 per kg over four phases in 10 days due to global energy price increases amid the West Asia conflict.
International liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices have nearly doubled since July compared to pre-conflict levels, with the Asia-JKM LNG benchmark rising from $11 per million British thermal units (MMBTU) in February to $23.4 per MMBTU in August.
