Delhi Gold Price Sees Wild Fluctuations as India's Economy Continues to Shift
The gold price in Delhi has seen significant fluctuations over the past few months. In January 2026, it opened at ₹1,35,160 per 10 grams and peaked at ₹1,79,140 on January 30th, before settling at ₹1,69,470 by the end of the month.
In February, the price trended upwards, opening at ₹1,60,730 and reaching a high of ₹1,62,050 on February 26th, before closing at ₹1,61,710 by the end of the month.
However, in March, the gold rate took a hit, plummeting to ₹1,35,790 on March 24th, and eventually settling at ₹1,48,420 by the end of the month. The trend reversed in April, with prices rising to ₹1,55,930 on April 19th, before ending the month at ₹1,50,580.
In May, gold prices continued their upward march, reaching a high of ₹1,62,270 on May 15th and closing at ₹1,57,190 by the end of the month. June saw a decline in prices, with the lowest rate recorded on June 26th at ₹1,41,470.
As for July, the gold price has seen an increase, reaching ₹1,49,460 on July 5th and settling at ₹1,46,320 by July 24th. In terms of purity, 24K gold is the purest form, but it's too soft for jewelry-making, while 22K is more suitable.
