Delhi Gold Prices Surge to ₹15,501 Per Gram as Market Continues Upward Trend
Gold prices in Delhi have continued their upward trend, rising to ₹15,501 per gram for 24K gold. This marks an increase of ₹1,086 from the low point on August 4, when the price was ₹14,415 per gram.
The recent surge in gold prices can be attributed to a strong run over the past week, with 24K gold climbing by more than ₹1,000 since August 4. The latest two sessions have played a significant role in this move, with 24K gold gaining ₹185 on August 11 and another ₹104 on August 12.
For jewellery buyers, it's essential to note that the quoted gold price is just the base rate, and making charges and GST can push the final purchase amount higher. As of today, 10 grams of 24K gold costs ₹1,55,010, while 100 grams comes to ₹15,50,100.
HDFC Sky offers Gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) as a simple way for investors to get involved in the market without handling storage or purity issues. These funds usually hold gold that is about 99.5% pure.
