Delhi's CNG Prices Rise by Rs 3.89 per Kg Amid Global LNG Price Surge
Compressed natural gas (CNG) prices in Delhi and the National Capital Region have surged by Rs 3.89 per kg, effective from Saturday at 6 AM, according to Indraprastha Gas Ltd.
The price revision is attributed to a significant portion of input gas for CNG coming from imported LNG, whose spot rates have skyrocketed since the start of the West Asia conflict.
IGL stated that international LNG prices remain elevated, and the cost impact has become increasingly significant, necessitating a calibrated revision of Rs 3.89 per kg to partially offset the increase in input gas cost.
The revised CNG rates will apply in several adjoining cities, including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram. In Noida and Ghaziabad, CNG will now cost Rs 95.59 per kg, while the new price in Gurugram has been fixed at Rs 92.01 per kg.
