Devon Energy Advances Integrated Delaware Basin Model with Solitude Pipeline Decision
Devon Energy Corporation has made a Final Investment Decision (FID) on the Solitude Pipeline System, a joint venture led by WhiteWater. This pipeline system will connect the Permian Basin to Katy, TX, and is designed for phased build-out of approximately 2.25 Bcf per day in the second half of 2029, followed by a similarly sized second phase in 2030.
The Solitude Pipeline System will provide firm transportation capacity for Devon's Delaware Basin gas production, which will be marketed to growing LNG export and power generation demand. This is part of Devon's integrated business model, designed to capture value across the entire value chain from wellhead to market.
Devon has secured firm transportation capacity and holds a 25% equity interest in the joint venture alongside WhiteWater (50%), MPLX (10%), Diamondback Energy (7.5%), and Western Midstream Partners (7.5%). The company's president and CEO, Clay Gaspar, stated, 'Solitude is not a standalone investment; it is the next step in an integrated model we have been building for years.'
