DNO Restarts Production at Kurdistan's Tawke Oil Field
DNO, a Norwegian energy company, has resumed production at its Tawke oil field in the Kurdistan Region after months of disruption due to regional tensions.
The company suspended operations at the end of February following US and Israeli strikes on Iran, but has since resumed production at the Tawke field in late June and Peshkabir in mid-July.
DNO's immediate priority is to rebuild production in the Kurdistan Region while export routes remain unavailable, with local-market sales continuing until exports reopen.
The company reported strong financial results for the second quarter, attributing its performance largely to increased production in the North Sea and higher global oil prices, which offset the impact of the production halt in the Kurdistan Region.
