Dollar Dips, Silver Rebounds Amid Ongoing Macro Concerns
Silver (XAG/USD) rebounded on Friday, rising 2.24% to $58.55 as the US Dollar (USD) dipped in value following its recent rally.
The white metal's recovery is tentative, however, as it remains vulnerable to the current macroeconomic climate that has been weighing down non-yielding assets like Silver.
The Dollar's pullback was modest, and Treasury yields stayed close to their recent highs, indicating investors' continued concern about inflationary pressures.
Ongoing tensions in the Middle East, including attacks on vessels in the Red Sea, have fueled worries about global energy supplies, which could lead the Federal Reserve (Fed) to keep interest rates higher for longer or even consider another rate hike.
