Dollar Rebound Slams Gold and Silver Prices
Rising bond yields and a rebounding US dollar have pushed gold and silver prices down. According to Fawad Razaqzada, Market Analyst at StoneX Media, higher interest rate expectations are driving this move.
The market has largely set aside concerns about dollar debasement, leaving the US dollar's value tied to bond yields, oil prices, and economic data such as the Producer Price Index. This shift in focus means attention is now turning to the Consumer Price Index, with a hotter reading potentially putting pressure on metals.
Copper has taken the heaviest hit among metals, while gold broke key support and silver fell four times faster than its counterpart.
