Dollar Weakness Fuels Gold Price Surge Amid Fed Hike Uncertainty
Gold prices rose on Monday as a weaker dollar and fading expectations of a U.S. Federal Reserve rate hike next month supported the bullion.
The spot gold price climbed 0.6% to $4,402.49 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures for December delivery edged 0.5% higher to $4,458.70.
The increase in gold prices comes as markets weigh developments in the Middle East conflict and interest rate expectations ahead of key U.S. inflation data.
