Dow Surges 500 Points as Oil Prices Fall
US stocks snapped a four-day losing streak after a pullback in international oil prices provided risk-appetite support. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.98% to 52,573.29 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 0.96% to 26,333.04 points, and the S&P 500 Index climbed 0.86% to 7,656.98 points. Dell surged 12%, with a recent RBC Capital report noting that corporate AI investments will support the company's performance.
Oracle reversed its post-earnings gains, dropping 1.74% to $150.28. The company's first fiscal quarter revenue grew 30% year-over-year to $19.3 billion, with cloud revenue increasing 62% year-over-year to $11.6 billion.
