DRDGOLD Sees Profit Surge on Higher Gold Prices
DRDGOLD Ltd., the parent company of DRD, released its financial results for the period ending August 19, 2026. The company saw a significant increase in operating profit and headline earnings due to higher gold prices and strong operational execution.
The operating profit surged by 83% year-over-year, while headline earnings rose by 89%. This was primarily driven by a 40% increase in the gold price. Additionally, DRDGOLD's major Vision 2028 projects are advancing as planned, with all capital expenditure funded from cash flow.
DRDGOLD declared a final dividend of 120 South African cents per share, which demonstrates the company's confidence in its financials and commitment to shareholder value.
