Drones from Iraq Hit Saudi Oil Pipeline, Riyadh Holds Off on Retaliation
Saudi Arabia has condemned drone attacks on its East-West oil pipeline, which were launched from Iraq. The pipeline was closed as a precautionary measure after several drones targeted it in the Riyadh and Medina regions.
The Saudi foreign ministry stated that 'several drones coming from Iraq' caused human injuries and damage to the pipeline. The attacks occurred on Thursday morning, leaving several people wounded.
Saudi Arabia has chosen not to retaliate against Iraq at this stage, following a request from Iraqi Prime Minister to support efforts in preventing such attacks. Baghdad condemned any threat to Saudi security and ordered an investigation into those responsible for the attack.
