DT Midstream (DTM) has expanded its Louisiana Energy Access Project (LEAP), adding another phase to its Haynesville Shale system. The latest expansion, LEAP Phase 5, brings an additional 200 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of capacity to the system.

The move positions DTM's Haynesville system to capture natural gas from the Permian Basin, which is pushing east towards Gulf Coast demand centers. The Carthage hub in East Texas is also drawing eastbound supply from the Permian Basin, further increasing the importance of the LEAP expansion.

Haynesville volumes have reached a record 2.2 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), and DTM's deepening ties to the Carthage hub are expected to support continued growth in the region.
