Gold jewellery demand in Dubai is expected to rise during the second half of 2026, driven by festive and wedding seasons, year-end tourism, and potentially stabilizing gold prices.

Industry leaders point to Navratri, Diwali, Christmas, and New Year celebrations as key drivers of footfall in showrooms. The cooler months and year-end holiday season are also expected to attract more tourists to the UAE, further boosting demand for gold jewellery.

Shamlal Ahamed, managing director for international operations at Malabar Gold and Diamonds, said: 'The festive and wedding season traditionally drives jewellery purchases...'

Renewed interest in gold jewellery is already being seen, with customers beginning to plan for upcoming celebrations. Value-added offers, transparent pricing, and flexible exchange policies will be key in bringing buyers back to showrooms.

Gold prices closed at $4,342 per ounce, up 2.38%.
