Duckworth Warns Rising Costs Threaten Illinois Farmers' Livelihood
U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth met with Illinois Corn Growers to discuss the impact of rising costs on agriculture in the state.
Rising costs for diesel, fertilizer, and other key agricultural inputs have threatened critical federal programs, Duckworth said at the August Board Meeting.
Duckworth emphasized the importance of supporting family farmers by expanding the biofuels market, increasing agricultural exports, and improving farm safety net programs.
The Senator has been a leader in supporting and expanding biofuels, introducing several bipartisan bills to increase the availability of E15 biofuels and ban Russian oil.
