Duke Energy's New LNG Facility Coming to Davidson County
A new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility is being built in Davidson County, North Carolina. The plant will be operated by Duke Energy and will use water glycol heaters to liquefy the natural gas.
According to an article from the Winston-Salem Journal, the facility will be similar to one already operating in Huntersville. Ryan Smith, general manager of gas storage redelivery and optimization for Piedmont Natural Gas, spoke about the water glycol heaters during a tour of the existing facility.
