East China Fuel Oil Prices Surge 2.92% Amid Crude Price Volatility
The price of 180CST fuel oil in East China rose by 2.92% last week, reaching 6,612.50 RMB/ton as of September 4.
This increase is attributed to the rise in international crude oil prices and higher costs for blending feedstocks.
The domestic marine fuel market has been driven up by these factors, with shipowners primarily purchasing to meet essential operational needs.
Tight spot supplies kept transaction prices high, with China Marine Fuel (Chimbusco) quoting low-sulfur 180CST fuel oil at 6,880 RMB/ton in the Dalian region and 6,450 RMB/ton in the Shanghai region.
