Tropical Storm Edouard has made landfall on the Gulf Coast, threatening disruptions to natural gas and petrochemical supplies. The storm's impact is particularly concerning given the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Iran, which have already led to dwindling crude supplies.

The storm made landfall near the Sabine Pass, a key connection between Texas and Louisiana, with three liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessels staying docked at Cheniere Energy Inc.'s export plant. Four other vessels were waiting offshore, according to Bloomberg.

Exxon Mobile and Cheniere Energy have stated that they are monitoring the storm and will modify operations if necessary. The storm is also expected to bring up to 6 inches of rain to Texas, further complicating the situation.
