Egypt Condemns Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities and Jordan

Egypt has strongly condemned attacks on Saudi oil facilities and Jordan, describing them as a grave escalation that threatens regional stability and global energy security.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Wednesday, reaffirming its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and Jordan and voicing support for all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their security, stability, sovereignty, and vital facilities.

The attacks were launched from Iran, with the US military saying it had thwarted an Iranian ballistic missile barrage targeting American forces in the Middle East. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said they launched ballistic missiles at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base and the headquarters of the U.S. Central Command in Jordan.

US-Saudi strikes were carried out against Iran-backed militia targets in Iraq after a series of drone attacks attempted to target Saudi oil facilities and US forces in the region. The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) said at least 20 of its fighters were killed and 32 others wounded in the strikes.
