Egypt's crude oil production has reached its highest level in nearly two years, according to Karim Badawi, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR).

In the first half of 2026, Egypt's petroleum product exports topped 2.3 million tonnes, matching last year's total and bringing in about $2.3 billion.

Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) has increased its production capacity, producing 45,000 more tonnes of gasoline and 40,000 more tonnes of jet fuel per month.

The MoPMR is moving forward with $4.5 billion in refinery projects to boost energy security, cut import costs, and sharpen Egypt's export edge.
