Egypt Fuel Market Remains Stable Amid Global Uncertainty
The fuel market in Egypt is currently stable, according to Hassan Nasr, head of the Petroleum Products Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce. In a recent interview, he stated that there are no new increases planned for petroleum product prices in the near future.
Nasr emphasized that fuel prices in Egypt are linked to various economic variables and global market fluctuations. He noted that the price of Brent crude is one of the main factors affecting petroleum product pricing calculations, along with the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound.
The costs of transporting oil and petroleum products have increased by 20-25% in the Arabian Gulf region due to ongoing geopolitical tensions. This has led to higher transportation and insurance costs for ships and vessels in the region.
Nasr pointed out that predicting future fuel prices is difficult due to the rapidly changing nature of oil markets and regional political developments. However, he assured that the current situation in the Egyptian market is stable, with petroleum products readily available throughout all governorates.
