Egypt Launches New Bid Round with Frontier Acreage
Egypt has launched its latest bid round, offering 14 blocks of acreage in the country's proven plays.
The move comes as oil production resumes in far south Egypt, where a number of discoveries have been made in recent years.
According to Upstream Online, the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources, Karim Badawi, has included frontier acreage in the bid round, which is aimed at attracting international investors.
