EIA Forecasts Rise in U.S. Energy Production for 2026
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has released its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, providing forecasts for energy markets in September 2026.
The EIA's forecast shows an increase of 0.9% in U.S. crude oil production to 13.96 million barrels per day for 2026. This is a significant boost from previous projections, indicating a growth in the country's oil output.
Additionally, the EIA predicts a 1.1% rise in U.S.-marketed natural gas production to 123.91 billion cubic feet per day in 2026. The agency also forecasts a 0.6% increase in U.S. natural gas liquids (NGLs) production to 7.93 million barrels per day.
