EIA Sticks with Unchanged Oil Production Forecast for Azerbaijan

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has reaffirmed its forecast for Azerbaijan's oil production in 2026, maintaining it at 550,000 barrels per day (bpd). This prediction is based on the EIA's August edition of its 'Short-Term Energy Outlook' report, which also indicates that Azerbaijan's oil production will reach 540,000 bpd in the third and fourth quarters of this year.

The July forecast had already indicated the same production level, and according to the EIA, Azerbaijan's liquid hydrocarbon production in 2025 is expected to be at 570,000 bpd. In the first and second quarters of 2025, Azerbaijan's oil production stood at 570,000 bpd, while production in the third and fourth quarters amounted to 560,000 bpd.
