Element Solutions Crushes Q2 Expectations with Record Revenue
Element Solutions reported record second-quarter revenue and adjusted EBITDA driven by demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure and high-performance computing. Organic net sales rose 15% year over year, while constant-currency adjusted EBITDA increased 33%. Adjusted earnings per share also jumped 27%, according to CEO Ben Gliklich.
The company's electronics segment saw organic sales rise 20%, with semiconductor solutions growing 31% and circuitry solutions advancing 15%. Management attributed the performance to sustained spending on AI infrastructure, data centers, and other high-performance computing applications.
Cuprion, Element Solutions' active copper technology, is gaining traction. The company plans to increase capacity at its initial Fremont facility and expand operations at a second site in California. It also expects significant revenue from Cuprion by the end of 2027 and substantial growth in 2028.
The Specialty segment reported mixed results, with industrial solutions growing organic sales 3% and offshore energy solutions growing 1%. Management noted pressure from raw-material and logistics inflation but emphasized that lower metals prices would have a minimal impact on profit dollars.
