Enamelled Wire Industry Operating Rate Remains Under Pressure in August
The comprehensive operating rate of the enamelled wire industry in August was 67.95%, down 2.02 percentage points from July and up 1.4 percentage points year-over-year.
The operating rates for large, medium-sized, and small enterprises were 71.87%, 56.95%, and 67.38% respectively.
The industry's performance was affected by the traditional off-season demand, high copper prices, and typhoon weather in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang region that led to temporary production halts for some downstream companies.
SMM expects the comprehensive operating rate of the enamelled wire industry in September to be 67.89%, a slight decline from August but still higher than last year's figure.
