Enamelled Wire Industry Sees Sharp Drop in Orders Amid Copper Price Surge
The Enamelled Wire Industry Experienced a Downturn in Production and Orders During the Week.
The operating rate of enamelled wire production equipment fell by 2.07 percentage points week-over-week (WoW), while weekly orders taken pulled back by 4.18% WoW during the period from July 17 to July 23.
This decline is attributed to a traditional off-season of demand, which typically weakens end-user rigid demand, and a significant surge in copper prices that suppressed downstream procurement pace.
