The Enbridge Houston Oil Terminal has opened in July, providing Canadian oil producers with a new gateway to one of the world's most important energy hubs.

The terminal represents the final link in Enbridge's integrated transportation network connecting northern Alberta's oil sands production directly to the Houston region.

According to Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel, this is part of a 'wave of development' that is unfolding across North America, driven by producers' confidence and a supportive policy environment.

The U.S. Gulf Coast region, known as PADD III, is the world's leading refining hub for heavy oil, Canada's main energy product by value.
