Endeavour Mining Cash Flows Soar on Gold Price Surge
Endeavour Mining has reported a significant surge in cash flows and shareholder returns, driven by sustained central bank gold purchases. The Africa-focused miner generated $761 million in free cash flow during the half-year to June, representing a 48% increase from the prior period.
The company's realised price averaged $4,579 an ounce, up 55% year-over-year. This boost in cash flows has enabled Endeavour Mining to pay out a record $301 million to shareholders, more than double its minimum commitment.
While the miner's Mana site is experiencing some production problems, the strong gold prices have offset these issues and driven the company's financial performance.
