Energia Marks Quarter Century as Pioneer in Nigerian Energy Industry
Energia, one of Nigeria's leading indigenous energy companies, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Established in 2001 by Nigerian oil and gas professionals, Energia has grown from an exploration and production company into a diverse energy business with capabilities spanning crude oil production, gas processing, and export infrastructure.
The company's chairman, George Osahon, said the milestone is 'a tribute to the vision, resilience, and collective commitment of everyone who has contributed to Energia's journey.' He praised the foundation laid by the founders, employees, host communities, partners, and stakeholders, which gives them confidence as they continue to build responsibly for the future.
Energia has achieved several milestones over the years. In 2009, it produced its first oil from the Ebendo/Obodeti field, marking a new phase of production growth. The company then invested in field development and production infrastructure, including the installation of a 25 MMSCFD gas processing plant in collaboration with Xenergi.
