Energy Secretary Blames Green Policies for Fuel Price Spike
U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright has shifted attention from the Iran conflict to another factor contributing to high fuel prices: Clean Energy policies.
In an interview with Fox News, Wright stated that 'foolish green energy policies are at least as responsible for the high energy prices as the conflict with Iran.'
The Secretary pointed out that electricity prices have increased by more than 40% in Democrat states and fuel costs were 40 to 50 cents per gallon higher due to Clean Energy policies.
Wright also highlighted an increase in oil production, saying 'we can produce more oil and gas at less cost than we could ever before.'
He added that Permian Basin oil production has quadrupled and natural gas production has grown seven-fold since the region's resurgence.
