Equinor Inks Three-Year Crude Oil Deal with Poland's ORLEN
Oil major Equinor has signed a three-year crude oil sales deal with Poland's ORLEN, starting in September. The agreement will see annual volumes of between 5 million and over 9 million tonnes delivered from the Johan Sverdrup field on the Norwegian continental shelf.
The pact also includes an option to deliver other crude varieties sourced from fields on the Norwegian continental shelf, according to Equinor's executive vice president for Marketing, Midstream and Processing, Irene Rummelhoff. She expressed enthusiasm about deepening ties with ORLEN through this crude supply arrangement for its refineries in Poland, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.
This deal underscores Norway's role as a steadfast energy provider for Europe, particularly Poland. Equinor maintains a diverse energy portfolio in Poland, collaborating with local partners across oil, natural gas, and low-carbon initiatives.
