Uniper and Equinor have sealed a long-term gas supply deal, where Norway's Equinor will provide Germany's Uniper with more than 30 TWh of natural gas per year from 2027 to 2041.

The agreement is a significant move for both companies, with Equinor highlighting that Germany is its largest market for natural gas and has been an anchor market since exports began in 1977.

Uniper noted that long-term supply relationships are particularly important against the backdrop of continued volatility in global energy markets, and this deal will contribute to the company's energy security and portfolio diversification.
