Russia's Yamal LNG project continues to supply European Union countries with liquefied natural gas, despite reduced volumes. In the first six months of this year alone, EU countries purchased almost 10 million tons of gas from the project, which is an increase of 18% compared to the same period last year.

This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, who noted that current supply volumes are significantly below previous record figures. Russia previously supplied about 40% of the EU's total gas balance, but now volumes have decreased significantly.
