EU Gas Storage Hits 62%, Officials Downplay Supply Concerns
The European Union's natural gas storage levels are currently at 62% of capacity, according to EU Commission spokesperson Eva Hrncirova. This is a significant drop from last year, when storage was filled to 74% of capacity.
The decrease in gas storage levels has been attributed to high gas prices following the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran, which have discouraged companies from purchasing fuel for storage.
