EU Gas Supply Stabilizes Despite Post-Iran War Price Surge
The European Union's gas supply situation appears stable for now, despite higher prices since the US-Israeli war with Iran. EU Commission Spokesperson Eva Hrncirova stated that there is currently no immediate concern over natural gas supplies. The country's storage facilities are at 62% capacity, a significant drop from last year's 74% at the same point.
However, high prices have made companies hesitant to purchase gas for storage, complicating efforts to replenish reserves before winter. This development is particularly concerning given the upcoming cold season and the importance of maintaining sufficient gas reserves to meet demand.
